VW Transporter T5/T6 Black Makita MakPac/Tool Box Bulkhead and Front Racking

This unique L-shaped racking unit has been designed for a tailored fit that follows the body contours of the SWB and LWB VW Transporter T5/T6 van, fitting snugly to the van side and bulkhead. Our Vanimal L-Racks are an innovative design, which integrates the bulkhead and front racking units. It is in effect one unit, which maximises storage space by fitting right into the front right corner of the van, making use of space that would otherwise be lost.

This L-Rack has been designed specifically to safely transport and store toolboxes, such as MakPac Type 1, 2, 3, and 4 boxes from MAKITA. Other toolboxes will fit but please refer to the attached datasheet to check the dimensions. This functional and practical racking system for the VW Transporter T5/T6 offers a further 16 compartments to store tools, cargo, and supplies; plus, the optional bottom rail on the bulkhead section can be removed/omitted, providing more toolbox storage space, should you require.

Our VW Transporter L-shaped front and bulkhead integrated racking units are made from heavy-duty, high-quality, 12mm black Phenolic finish hexaboard plywood. This provides an attractive and resilient textured finish, giving the van racks a strong, stable, and durable build.

Bulkhead Section

• 6 toolbox-specific storage compartments for Makita Makpac boxes, or similar **Others will fit - check the datasheet for dimensions**
• 25mm front lip on tool box compartments to stop tool boxes from sliding out or moving
• 5 top storage compartments (check the datasheet for dimensions)
• Fitting the bottom rail is optional, allowing for extra toolbox storage, or alternatively;
• Remove the bottom rail to allow for toolbox trolleys to slide under. Hold these in place using bungee cords
• Bungee fixing locations on available on various positions on the racking. (see image example)

Taking onboard customer feedback, we have changed the manufacturing process of our Phenolic-treated racking systems; we have now added the anti-slip hexaboard textured surface to the inside of each compartment to help improve grip and maximise the security of your goods. The outside will now feature a smooth and easy clean finish. We advise drilling 3mm pilot holes before beginning to screw the racking together to prevent these smooth finish outside facias from cracking.

Easy-Assembly Push Fit Racking & Shelving Design

The Vanimal branded van racking kit you'll receive will arrive flat-packed making it more manageable to handle and deliver. Full assembly instructions are included and depending on design, each rack should take you between 10 and 30 minutes to put together with its easy-to-build push-fit design (mortise and tenon joints + optional wood glue, not provided). Although made of heavy-duty 12mm Phenolic Plyboard and a very rigid build, it is still lightweight, making it simple to lift into the back of your van for installation.

All our van racking is fully interchangeable so can be used on either the left- or right-hand side of the vehicle, meaning that it is perfect for LHD vans too.
